My perspective on Journalism

Time and energy are both needed for this job. Discretion and empathy are other key factors for a good journalist. I see the role of a journalist-as one that would require diligent delving into people and their stories.
I like to write stories, to tell stories and to watch the responses of folks as they hear them. I don't think I write well enough to be published, but I will be taking more writing courses because my children all encourage this side of my personality.
As you might have noticed, this last assignment is late, sorry. I had a husband that is unemployed right now, taking up my office space and not allowing me time on my computer. Let's all pray that this economy turns around!!!

WASHINGTON---On a busy New York street, a man stopped to remove his shirt, while anxiously glancing at a vehicle filled with explosives. This took place on Saturday evening, May 1st, in Times Square. Another suspect, running north on Broadway, at about the same time that the police noticed the smoking car, is wanted for questioning. Investigators credited the quick response of New York’s finest with the thwarted bombing attempt.
